The NHP&MFCU has served the New Haven Police Department and Municipal employees and members of their immediate families since 1956. Products offered include automatic payroll deductions, savings accounts, and loans for cars new and used, new motorcycles, personal loans up to 20k, and tuition loans. IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO MEMBERS
Dear Members,
On February 4, 2025 there was a system error creating a double posting. This error generated an additional payroll, as well as a regular payroll posting on February 6, 2025.
As a result, two (2) payments were made in one week. The double post was reversed on May 15, 2025.
We are in communication with our back office concerning this issue to prevent this from happening again.
We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Easy! Just fill out the member application in the documents section and bring in either $25 cash or a $25 check to the office.
$500 cash per day. If you need additional funds we will cut you a check.
They are mailed out quarterly. You may also come in and pick up a statement at anytime.

You have to have a minimum of at least 580 FICO score to qualify.
Call the credit union during OPEN hours. We will cut a check for you and leave it at the front desk. We cannot leave cash at the front desk.
YES!
Take a credit union loan for $1,000 and set up auto payroll deduction to cover the monthly loan payment.
Yes. The amount of the loan will be Kelley Blue Book value. You will have to make up the monetary difference between the original car loan amount and the Blue Book value.
